Entrepreneurial.   Growing.   Fast.

Business / Commercial Litigator:

Slingshot is seeking one (1) litigator to join our high-tech, entrepreneurial team. The ideal candidate cannot get flustered with clients who sit on a complaint for 29 days, then urgently request representation and a thorough answer with detailed counterclaims filed the next day. We work with startups, procrastinating business owners, family dynasties and more. We seek an experienced litigator who despises sales, marketing and office management – who wants to deal with litigation (simple and complex) involving business and commercial-related matters. The typical cases we handle:

  • Partnership disputes and “bad breakups” amongst co-owners
  • Debt collection
  • Civil defense, usually some form of e-Commerce activity and/or intellectual property
  • Breach of contract

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will:

  • Possess 1-5 years of experience
  • While not required, it would be helpful if you are bilingual (Spanish)
  • Thrive in a “paperless office,” and be capable of quickly picking up the computer systems and tools we use in the practice
  • Be friendly and warm with clients, willing and able to take on all aspects of litigation – simple and complex
  • Not get upset when clients procrastinate or warn us of key deadlines too late
  • Be entrepreneurial driven

We’re Going Places, and It’s Important That You are Too!

Slingshot, LLC, is the result of a merger between Business Law Southwest (BLSW) and Law 4 Small Business (L4SB), leaders in legal services for business.  We’re also technology savvy, perhaps more so than you have ever encountered before.

Business / Litigation Paralegal:

Slingshot is looking to hire two experienced paralegals. Our paralegals help answer prospective calls, assist with transactional work (i.e. setting up LLC’s), handle filings and all other “executive assistant” functions to and for the lawyers.

Typical work for this position includes:

  • Taking calls and online inquiries, attempting to help qualify new leads
  • Answering basic questions about our online service offerings
  • Handling basic transactional work, such as sending paperwork to state agencies for corporate (and LLC) filings
  • Drafting litigation-based documents, including correspondence and pleadings
  • Various office administration duties, as appropriate and needed

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will:

  • Will have at least 5 years of experience in a busy, dynamic law office
  • While not required, it would be helpful if you are bilingual (Spanish or other)
  • Thrive in a “paperless office,” and be capable of quickly picking up the computer systems and tools we use in the practice
  • You can use MS Office and Outlook in your sleep, and very adept at email, web usage and security
  • Be friendly and warm with clients, willing and able to quickly follow up with leads and simple transactional matters
  • Be entrepreneurial driven

  • Taking calls and online inquiries, attempting to help qualify new leads
  • Answering basic questions about our online service offerings
  • Writing blog articles and other legal-related content
